Anthony Derrick – Chairman

Anthony is a founding Director of IT Power, an International Consultancy specializing in Renewables.

Anthony has over 25 years experience in renewable energy, environment and development projects in industrial, academic and consulting environments. His appointments include:

  • The Advisory Group of the G8 Renewable Energy Task Force
  • Adviser to the United Nations International Trade Centre on the development of markets and trade in renewable energy technologies.

Anthony’s experience and network of industry contacts offers an invaluable resource for the development of the OWEL technology and markets.

 

Chris Rich

As an experienced interim executive Chris is assisting OWEL in the present stage of development.

This role involves driving the initial funding round and the commercialization of the business. This includes coordinating Investor relations and Financial and Strategic planning in association with the Board and the shareholder-group.

Chris is a management consultant with a background in corporate finance and strategic planning, with specific relevant experience in early-stage technology businesses. He has extensive experience in the creation and management of Joint-venture and Corporate-partnership structures for infrastructure projects.

 

Ned Minns

Ned Minns is the Chief Technical Officer for OWEL and has recently completed the successful optimisation phase for the OWEL WEC.

He is a Mechanical Engineer at OWEL with 5 years experience in the Marine Renewable Energy Sector and is the Technical Project Manager for OWEL’s current marine demonstration phase, sponsored by the Technology Strategy Board. Ned has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy Systems and is currently studying part time for a PhD in Marine Renewable Energy.

Prior to his time at IT Power and OWEL, Ned gained comprehensive commercial, sales and managerial experience developing products and services for the Airwave police radio network during 8 years working for BT and O2.

Professor John Kemp

John is the Inventor and the founder of OWEL.

John has led the technical aspects of the projects to date and will remain involved in a consultancy capacity.

 

 

Chris George

Chris is a Company Director has been closely involved in all aspects of the initial development of the OWEL business. Chris is an ex Royal Naval Engineer Officer with experience in the control and management of multi-discipline, engineering projects.
